This policy applies to the Sinan Note application.
Sinan Note is committed to protecting your privacy. We follow an Offline-First approach, ensuring your data remains fully under your control on your device.
Information We Collect
Notes content is stored locally in your device's database only. We do not collect names, emails, or phone numbers. No location tracking, no camera or microphone access, no device fingerprinting. If you use Google Drive, the app interacts with your Google account directly and solely for that purpose.
How We Use Your Information
Data is used locally only to enable search, organization, and display of your notes. Google Drive is used solely to store your encrypted backup files, only when you request it. Notes locked in the Vault are never uploaded to Google Drive.
Data Security
We use AES-256 encryption to protect notes content in the secure Vault. Biometric authentication (fingerprint/face) works through the Android system directly — we never see or store biometric data. Permanently deleted notes cannot be recovered. Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly enable sync.
Permissions We Request
Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS) to send reminder alerts. Exact scheduling (SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM) to trigger reminders at the precise time you set. Wake lock (WAKE_LOCK) to briefly wake the device CPU to deliver alarms when the screen is off. Boot receiver (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED) to re-schedule reminders after device restart. Full screen intent (USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT) to show reminder screens when the device is locked. Storage (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE) on legacy Android (10 and below) only to save backup files. Internet (INTERNET) exclusively for Google Drive sync if you enable it.
Third-Party Services
Google Drive (optional): used only if you enable cloud backup and requires your permission. Vault-encrypted notes are never uploaded. Google Play Services: for app distribution and standard security checks. Use of Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy.
Children's Privacy
Sinan Note is safe for all ages. Since we do not collect personal data, we do not collect information from children under the age of 13.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by updating the Last Updated date at the top of this page.
